INGENIERÍA TORNÉ S.L. drafted the project for the new Faculty of Philosophy and Letters in partnership with Magen Arquitectos. The joint venture MAGEN ARQUITECTOS-INGENIERIA TORNE SL developed the execution project for the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters.
The project involves the comprehensive renovation of the current Philosophy and Letters building, the demolition of the Philology Faculty, and the design of a new departmental building (EDE).
The project for the new Departmental Building (EDE) is conceived from the outset as a Nearly Zero Energy Building and provides an ambitious response to current sustainability and energy efficiency challenges, with the goal of achieving certifications such as BREEAM Excellent, LEED Platinum, among others.
The project design has been carried out using the BIM methodology.
The commencement of construction is scheduled for September 2018, with the joint venture (UTE) being responsible for the construction management.
